peru photo diary
Couldn’t take a trip to Peru without visiting Machu Picchu. The awestruck feeling you get walking around this place is just unreal. Nothing that seeing pictures can ever recreate. Its one of those places that pictures can’t do justice to.
Uros Floating Islands, where the people build islands from scratch to live on.
Left a piece of my heart in Peru a the end of the trip. The soles finally gave way. Loved these boots to no ends. The search for a replacement for these begins now.
Part two of just a fraction of the shots taken while perusing Peru. I have to say, even with a few complications here and there the trip was completely amazing. If these photos capture even a fraction of the experiences I had there, I would be pretty happy. Fell in love with the friendly people, the coffee (nothing will ever be the same), and the never ending photogenic views.
lima & sacred valley photo diary
Spent ten days travelling Peru. Couple transfer flights and 700-some photos later, this is the result. Part dos of the photos coming later!
Lima had some of the most amazing street art. Admiring it for days.
Dyes made from parasite eggs. How cool is that?
Visited a school while in the Sacred Valley, and brought the kids some toys and snacks. They were the cutest, and so excited to see us when we came.
Then of course I got distracted and took photos of all the animals on the street. Just a fraction of all the cat and dog shots I took here. Oops.
Part two coming later!
Packing for Peru, for ten days of nonstop sketching and photo taking and all that other great travel stuff. Also (kind of) putting off packing by starting to sketch in a new book, because the fresh pages are just so tempting. Spending the last few hours in Calgary loading up on sketching inspiration and music for the plane. We’ll see what interesting creations come out at the end of the twelve+ hour travel day!
